Hydrofluoroethers 7100 and 7200 are designated as Acceptable (can be used without restrictions) as cleaning agents and refrigerants on the list of alternatives to Freon (SNAP list) determined by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), and have been excluded from volatile emissions by the EPA. Among organic compounds (VOC), they are mainly used in manufacturing industries such as precision electronic instruments and high-end medical equipment.
