Halocarbon HFE(HFMOP)
Halocarbon HFE (HFMOP) is a fluorinated high performance fluid and lubricant designed to have low Global Warming Potential (GWP) and zero Ozone Depletion Potential (ODP), making it a safe and environmentally friendly alternative to traditional precision cleaning fluids.
Characteristics of Halocarbon HFE
1,1,1,3,3,3-Hexafluoro-2-methoxypropane (CAS 13171-18-1)
① Zero ozone depletion potential. Extremely low global warming potential (GWP 27).
② Low toxicity and non-flammable.
③ Compliant with domestic regulations (Chemical Substances Control Law, Labor Safety and Health Law).
④ Already in continuous commercial production.
⑤ Stable procurement of raw materials in North America.
Halocarbon HFEs are fluorinated solvents with low Global Warming Potential (GWP) and zero Ozone Depletion Potential (ODP).
They are a safe, environmentally friendly alternative to traditional solvents.
With their non-flammability, improved environmental impact and material compatibility, they are used as solvents to improve performance in electronics cleaning, vapor degreasing and related precision cleaning applications, and as coolants.
Application examples
・ Precision cleaning, degreasing
・ Draining fluid for cleaning process
・ Dilution solvent, dispersion solvent
・ Antifouling coating agent
・ Heat transfer medium, reliability test
・ Immersion cooling for data centers
Effects on various materials (room temperature, immersion for 24 hours)
・No change: ABS, PC, Epoxy, Phenol, PEEK, PTFE, PU
・Change: Acrylic
