Control cables transmit loads and control positions over long distances and must operate reliably over repeated cycles over long periods of time. Control cables are flexible and a lot of friction occurs between the outer sheath and the inner cable, but this can be minimized by using the right lubricant.
C・K-LUBE JB-18 greases have a wide operating temperature range and good adhesion. Synthetic and silicone oil-based lubricants are often used for this application.
